How should we connect with you?

    Cornwall

From towering Alexander Calders to the taller mountains behind them, the Orange County community of Cornwall welcomes with wonders natural and contrived. Its rolling landscape reminded early European settlers of Cornwall, England, who named the town some 75 years after Henry Hudson stepped ashore on its soil. Cornwall-on-Hudson became its principal village, beckoning many from New York City to feel the health benefits of its fresh air, rushing waters, and calming recreational exploits. Storm King Mountain proved magnetic for Hudson River School painters, and its landmark summit remains protected by the state park surrounding it. The soaring crag is also the namesake of Cornwall’s other main attraction: Storm King Art Center, a 500-acre sculpture park home to the country’s premier assemblage of large-scale spatial art. Train service to Cornwall is available on Metro-North’s Port Jervis Line, which crosses America’s tallest and longest railroad bridge, the Moodna Viaduct, just shy of Salisbury Mills-Cornwall Station.
