Oradell

Oradell is a gem of a town, covering just two and a half miles, but inspiring an outsized devotion from its residents. It has all the small-town charm one could want, with a walkable downtown, a century-old library with plenty of community activities, plus a beautiful reservoir waterfront. In fact, picturesque Grove Street was such a popular backdrop for television commercials that the town had to institute a steep filming permit fee. In the summer, the Oradell Swim Club—with its four outdoor pools, playground, and basketball court—is a popular hangout, along with the live music concerts at Memorial Field. Oradell is an easy commute to New York City for any big city needs, with both buses and New Jersey Transit trains available. It’s also a quick drive to Bergen County shopping, whether it’s IKEA in Paramus or the Shops at Riverside in Hackensack.

Home to just shy of one million residents, Bergen County—New Jersey’s most populous—offers nearly as many lifestyles.
