Living in Marin County
Marin County represents the best of two amazing worlds. It has easy access to the global metropolis that is San Francisco yet is rich with the wonders of the natural in its parks, trails, and beaches. As an urban place, Marin is an assortment of small towns, each with its own distinct vibe. As a natural place (one, it should be noted, that’s noticeably sunnier than the city) it contains giant forests and miles upon miles of hiking and biking trails, and it’s close to the agricultural and vinicultural wonderlands of Napa and Sonoma. Those who want to live in Marin and work in the city enjoy what may be the world’s most beautiful commute options — either via the Golden Gate Bridge or by ferry (or even kayak) across the San Francisco Bay.
