Get to Know Oakville

Lakefront Oakville might just be the ideal place to live, and if you want an unbiased confirmation, consider that the town was rated by Canada’s own national weather service as having the best weather in the whole country. It’s quite the fitting accolade, considering Oakville’s four distinct seasons, which includes cool winters and warm summers, but with few extreme days in either direction of the thermostat. The generally temperate weather is a perfect match for a town that prides itself on its many outdoor areas, including two harbors, with plenty of space for boating on its creeks or on Lake Ontario, as well as being home to more than 200 parks and 150 kilometers of trails. Oakville is about a half-hour drive from Mississauga or Hamilton and has four GO Transit stops nearby, allowing residents to ride into Toronto via commuter rail or bus.
