Midtown East Condo • $1,795,000 • MANHATTAN • 250 East 54th Street, No. 20A
A 1,300-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with floor-to-ceiling windows, in the colorful Mondrian tower, a 1990s mid-rise with a doorman and concierge. Ben Garama, Corcoran, 347-524-6934; corcoran.com
COMMON CHARGES $2,090 a month; taxes: $2,126 a month
PROS The living room has two walls of floor-to-ceiling glass that get ample sunlight and a slice of sky, despite facing some taller buildings. The master bedroom is large, with an en suite bath and a walk-in closet. There is an in-unit washer/dryer and the second bedroom is also big.
CONS The combined common charges and taxes are considerable. A new residential tower is under construction across the street. The kitchen cabinets are dated.
